Despite what the aviation industry wants us to believe, there is no technological fix which will give us clean flights in the time we have left to address the climate crisis. The only way to cut carbon from planes is by taking fewer flights.

The good news is that we can get on track for net zero by getting the people who fly most to fly a little less - and most of us don’t need to change anything at all. That’s because while half of the UK population doesn’t fly in a given year, 15% of the population are responsible for 70% of annual flights.

We campaign to cut demand among frequent flyers and private jet users, and work to make low-carbon alternatives accessible to all of us - celebrating how travelling by train and coach can be even better than taking to the skies.
