Sara Telahoun
Sara is a climate change consultant, team leader and mentor with over 13 years’ experience in sustainability. Her work centres around developing carbon reduction, sustainability and climate adaptation strategies and policies for public, private and third sector organisations. Through analysis and stakeholder engagement, she leads teams to provide organisations with practical steps on taking action to reduce the impacts of the climate crisis.
She previously sat on Bristol City Council’s Environment Board, collaborating with local stakeholders to accelerate action towards the city’s goals of being a carbon neutral and climate resilient city by 2030. In previous roles, Sara worked for environmental NGO CDP, where she supported international cities’ climate action progress.
Sara is passionate about mentoring young people to be the next generation of future sustainability leaders. She also mentors professionals looking to transition their careers towards sustainability. This aligns with her goal of accelerating a socially just and equitable transition to net zero through her work. In her spare time, she plays the drums in a local Bristol punk band.
