Heather Murphy

Heather believes business can have a positive impact on people and planet.

Heather is Responsible Sourcing Senior Manager for Mars Snacking in Europe, where she drives positive social and environmental impact through supply chain initiatives and programmes. Heather has a focus on developing regenerative agriculture programmes across Europe, prioritising action within material commodities and ingredients for the business. Heather also leads on addressing supply chain greenhouse gas emissions and protecting human rights through supplier partnership and engagement.

Heather is experienced in engaging across sectors on the ESG agenda and creating impactful CSR, Sustainability and Responsible Business initiatives. She was previously BITC’s (Business in the Community’s) Senior Lead for the North, fostering collaboration between business leaders to tackle shared challenges and priorities in each region. 

Heather also has a background in corporate and community fundraising, working for a national cancer charity for several years, growing and diversify their fundraising streams.

Outside of work, Heather is enjoys keeping active and being outdoors, exploring the green spaces around her home in Greater Manchester. She is a keen triathlete, hiker and all round nature lover. Heather makes sure that is balanced with a love for baking and trying new recipes at home.
