As parklets campaign manager, I help Londoners to reclaim their streets from domination by cars, changing the narrative around the way our streets are used and who they are for. I currently work with residents' groups, schools, community organisations, places of worship and voluntary organisations to repurpose parking spaces as parklets, creating beautiful spaces that benefit the whole community.

I'm also campaigning for a parklet permit process in all London boroughs and for greater action by councils on parking policy. I previously ran the Car Free London campaign at Possible, leading on our Car Free Visions project and other grassroots interventions to help accelerate the shift away from car dependency.

Before joining the Possible team I founded JoyRiders CIC to get more women from diverse backgrounds into cycling and I am also a trustee of Muslim women's cycling charity, Cycle Sisters. I'm also a parent of three teenagers and recently qualified as a lifecoach. I grew up in Birmingham and have lived in Waltham Forest since 2007.

I love to be outdoors, and I'm often out exploring the Lea Valley and London's green spaces and waterways by bike, or finding the best open water swimming spots.
