Hosts:
Magnus Bengtsson – Policy Director at Hot or Cool. With over 20 years of experience in sustainability policy, Magnus has advised governments and international organisations on circular economy and sustainable consumption policies.
Juliet Michaelson – Co-Director: Strategic Development at Possible. Juliet has an extensive background in social research and policy advocacy, previously leading the Centre for Wellbeing at the New Economics Foundation.
Speakers:
Saamah Abdallah – Programme Lead for Sustainable Wellbeing at Hot or Cool. Co-creator of the Happy Planet Index and a key figure in EU-level Beyond GDP initiatives, Saamah has been working on alternative indicators of progress for nearly two decades.
Alethea Warrington – Head of Aviation, Heat & Energy at Possible. Alethea is one of the leading voices in the UK on the need to reduce aviation emissions, advocating for policies like a frequent flyer levy and exposing greenwashing in the aviation industry.

Hot or Cool is a public interest think tank working at the intersection of society and sustainability. Their mission is to challenge the status quo, help society reimagine what is possible and enable systemic change towards a thriving and resilient future within ecological limits.
The Funders for Sustainable Living (F4SL) is a network hosted by Hot or Cool supporting funders to take ambitious action on sustainable living. Their Innovation Fund is a collaborative initiative aimed at addressing overconsumption through bold philanthropic experiments, pooled funding, and shared learning.
Possible is a UK-based climate charity working on ambitious solutions to decarbonise transport, energy, and household consumption. They focus on the emissions cuts that involve action from the public and demonstrate to decision-makers that we can drive emissions reductions by making the climate–friendly behaviour changes we urgently need cheap, convenient and desirable.
